This article highlights one of our staff members you might be working with, especially if you’re looking for long-form content writing for technical fields and subjects. Learn more about the great people who make Vision Advertising the company it is.

Today we’re looking at Steven Chisholm, our Inbound Marketing Specialist. Instead of talking about them, let’s let them talk for themselves in this short Q&A interview.

Why Did You Decide to Make the Jump to Content Marketing with Vision?

I was passively looking for a new career. Writing has always been my passion, so I had my eyes out for a role creating content. One day, while casually perusing job boards, I happened upon Vision Advertising’s listing for a “content-heavy position.” I have worked on a few blogs in the past in a non-professional setting and have many years of experience with technical and copywritten material. Combining those skills into one, I reasoned that I had the proficiency necessary to become part of the team. I dusted off my résumé and applied immediately.

Besides Writing, What Other Skills Do You Bring to the Table?

Collaboration is my strong suit. I’ve worked on creative projects with similarly goal-oriented people from around the globe. Upon joining the company and getting to know the staff, I’ve found that this is a business that thrives on collaboration. After all, you can’t win a championship with a team of one.

What Should Clients Know About Working with You?

I take a healthy amount of pride in my work, but that certainly does not mean I am above criticism. I’ve developed the skills I have today through the feedback of others. Therefore, my clients should know that they can allay any concerns to me, and I am available to answers any questions I can.

What Do You Do When You’re Not Working?

I enjoy working on all sorts of writing projects: short stories, manuscripts, screenplays, radio dramas, and so forth. But when I’m not writing, I enjoy playing board games, hiking, and reading. Also, during my commute or when doing chores around the house, you can find me listening to an extensive backlog of podcasts; I am a big fan of comedy and actual play shows.
