Vision Advertising Named a Top 10 Marketing Agency by the WBJ

Worcester Business Journals Book of Lists for Vision AdvertisingOn May 30th, 2018, Laura DiBenedetto and Julia Becker Collins – Vision Advertising’s CEO and VP respectively – attended a brew fest hosted by the Worcester Business Journal (WBJ). However, they weren’t there to sample the local beer (most of which goes poorly with Julia’s celiac), they were there for the main event: the WBJ’s Book of Lists, their annual list of all the top businesses in Worcester, from accounting firms to venture capital. This year, Vision Advertising is on the list, in the “Advertising & Marketing Communications Firms” top ten listing.

A Little History of the Book of Lists

The Worcester Business Journal has been publishing the Book of Lists for over 20 years now. While the WBJ publishes their journal every two weeks, the Book of Lists is a once-yearly document available for sale as part of their subscription or as a single purchase – physical or online (check out their Data Center for your preferred option). What’s most interesting about the list is that not only do the companies change each year, but the categories adapt to the changing business world. Their editor, Brad Kane, probably said it best in his 2017 foreword:

“The 44 lists contained in this issue are not the same lists WBJ published in its first Book of Lists more than two decades ago. They are not even the same lists we published last year. The Central Massachusetts economy changes every year, and the raw market intelligence our readers need to thrive changes with it… For next year, we are already planning for more changes, particularly around how digital services have changed.”

What This Means for Vision Advertising

This means two major things for us here at Vision Advertising. First, as Worcester’s premier B2B resource, being listed in the Worcester Business Journal’s Book of Lists shows us as a premier B2B service in our industry. Secondly, each listing is ranked by different criteria. To be on the list you have to be nominated, and then make it as one of the top advertising & marketing communication firms. You are then ranked by your annual gross billings and finally by your number of employees. Showing not only that we’re noteworthy enough to be nominated, but also our growth as a company—both in terms of the clients we support and the staff we employ.

Ready to connect with us? You don’t need to pick up a copy of the Book of Lists to do that: you can reach us directly through our contact page. Email, phone – whatever works best for you.
