Situation
Jon Yancik at Quality Contracting, Inc. came to us in early 2006. The company, having been in business for many years successfully already, was looking to grow in staff and clientele. Being an insurance loss specialist in the contracting business, their clientele is mostly comprised of families and individuals who have experienced catastrophe in or to their homes and may or may not be displaced. A challenging audience to reach, we wanted to be sure to not only get to these people, but when we did, make an impression of compassion, qualification, dedication and solidity.
Program
Collateral Development, Photography, Web Site Design, Development & Writing
As Quality Contracting already had a brand well established, we needed to enhance and with our first project, get very specific.
Our first project was a brochure that would go to the recently affected, unfortunately while the individual or family was still very distraught. The unique challenge here was to create a piece that said everything, but it in such a way that clearly and reassuringly said “we can solve your problem and make you happy again.” In creating the piece, we focused on imagery of happy families (presumed to be the “after” of working with QCI) and a brief checklist of steps the person/people would have to take to get things back to where they were (or better). The piece has seen an exponential return on investment for Quality Contracting.
The next project was the company’s web site. Long forgotten and largely out of date, the web site was riddled with out of date information and needed the same effective panache that the brochure now carried. We worked very closely with the team at QCI to create the ideal design for them and help them to create and hone content that now represented them best. As part of the design, we created a custom flash movie to sit in the header to help tell the story of QCI.
Subsequent projects include various collateral pieces.
Overall Results
While all programs have been very successful, it is necessary to highlight the astounding and phenomenal success of the brochure. Jon Yancik told us recently that the piece is directly responsible for successfully garnering $700,000 in new business for Quality Contracting – all for less than a half of a percent invested.
