Internships

College students! Are you looking for a really fun internship where you can do meaningful things that make a difference in a small company – and NOT have to go get someone’s coffee? Internships are always available at Vision Advertising, year round, and we offer a robust program where you will learn more in your one semester with us than you could even imagine.

When your internship is complete, we help you with your resume, give you a detailed letter of recommendation that you will have earned and point you towards some allied companies for a job if one isn’t available with us. If one IS available with us, you’ll have the first opportunity to apply.

Internship details

Interns typically will join us between 16-24 hours per week during the Winter and Spring semesters, and between 20-40 hours per week during the Summer semester.  We are excited to meet students that are hungry to learn, are highly spirited and motivated to go above and beyond for themselves. Our interns love their time spent with us because it teaches them more than they ever imagined, all while they have fun.

We are NOT looking for students that are interested in the bare minimum credit requirements. This is useless to you, useless to us, and defeats the purpose of an internship.

When you complete your internship with Vision Advertising, you will be amazed at how much you learned and how many challenges you pushed through that you didn’t think you could when you first started.

Some of the projects our interns get to help with:

  • Content development for our web site, and our client web sites
  • Search engine optimization
  • Google Adwords campaign management
  • Facebook content for our client’s fan pages
  • Seminar creation and follow through
  • Transcription and editing
  • Research and data entry
  • Web site design and development
  • Client service and account management
  • Project management

One last thing: yes, of course you can get credit… as long as your school will give you credit, we’ll fill in any/all necessary paperwork.

Interested? Awesome!  READ THIS FIRST, and then forward your areas of interest and your school’s requirements along with a resume if you have one. If you don’t have a resume, just put your work history in your cover letter so we have an idea of what you like to do and CAN do. Your cover letter should tell us why you’re the best student on the block that we just HAVE to hire. Internships with Vision Advertising are not paid, and therefore schedules offer maximum flexibility.

Meet Some of Our Interns

“If you want to get anywhere, you start with a launching point. An internship with Vision Advertising was the launching point which set me hurtling into a marketing and advertising career.

I rocketed from internship to internship and finally broke through the professional stratosphere as a strategic marketing consultant and freelance marketing writer. And it all started with an internship at Vision Advertising.

The Vision team is fantastic – professional but fun, results-oriented but approachable. As a college sophomore completely new to marketing and advertising, it gave me a hard-and-fast introduction into the business world and the real-world experience I needed to develop a marketing career. Text books are one thing – actual experience is another.

An internship with Vision Advertising? It was the right decision for me. It could be the right decision for you, too.”

– Steve Monroe, 2010 graduate of Framingham State University. Currently a strategic marketing consultant, freelance marketing writer, and Staffing Specialist with Community Staffing.

“The team at Vision Advertising helped me grow personally and professionally. With most internships a person would find that they are given menial tasks to complete, and they rarely work closely with the CEO. That was not the case at all at Vision. Each day I learned a new skill and technique, while working with some of the most down to earth and professional people around. As a junior going in to my senior year at college, I was aching for real-world experience. Looking back on it, I don’t think I would have wanted to get that experience anywhere else. They say that you get out of an internship what you put in. If you’re looking to really excel and learn some of the most valuable skills of your career, you’ll get a lot out of an internship with Vision Advertising.”

– John Scholl, 2012 Graduate of Quinnipiac University

“As a college graduate who never participated in an internship, I was temporarily ‘stuck’ working in a position which I had not planned on perusing a career in. Vision Advertising gave me the opportunity to take a step back and take part in an internship; little did I know this internship was going to land me a dream job and the start of my career! At Vision Advertising I learned so many helpful tips and techniques; without their help and mentoring, I would not be where I am today. Thank you Vision Advertising!”

– Lauren McDonald, 2010 Graduate of Fitchburg State College.  Currently a Marketing Coordinator at Verndale.
