Mission Statement
The World Green Business Association (WGBA) provides incentives to business owners to integrate green practices into daily operations, thus decreasing the impact we all make in carbon emissions that are creating the global warming problem.
Statement of purpose
The World Green Business Association’s core purpose is to transform the way businesses look at their operations. This will enable an environmentally and socially responsible work environments that improve the quality of work life for the business owner and employees as well as addressing our shared responsibility in contributing in world-wide efforts to reduce global warming.
Objective
The World Green Business recognition program highlights the efforts your business makes to use green practices in daily operations, thus decreasing the impact we all make in carbon emissions that are increasing global warming. WGBA thanks you for your taking responsibility in contribution in global effort to reduce global warming.
To participate in the program you must commit to several basic green business practices and meet your personal deadline for fulfillment.
This program is still in its infancy and we need your help! We need volunteers and committed businesses to come together to gain community support and media recognition, to recruit members and spread the word all over the state. Our plan is global - but we’re starting this one business at a time.
UPDATE:
Massachusetts Green Business Association is now incorporated as World Green Business Association, Inc. We’ve structured it this way to have room for global expansion in the coming years as we grow and evolve. As we are in Massachusetts, this is where we’re going to start, with the people and businesses we know and expand outward from there.
If you are out of state and would like to join, we will welcome you with open arms and will help you to spread the good word in your locality so you will be in good company in short order.
At this point, the plan is that each state will have its own corporate offices and leadership team to facilitate as much personal attention, assistance and compliance as possible. When the US is set up, and perhaps before (keep in mind, we’re still planning), we are going to begin work with foreign countries and head overseas to get the job done where it needs the most help. You may or may not know this, but the US and China are the world’s biggest contributors to the global warming pandemic, thus China will most likely be our next target. This could be 2 years from now - or 10. It depends on our success here first.
SO many of you have approached me about this with such enthusiasm and I am taken aback by the level of interest, awareness and shared passion. It’s overwhelming and I am fully committed and devoted to this cause and to see that it becomes the global force that ACTUALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE that we all want it to be.
To that end, I’ve been working in every minute of my personal time on this and the agency’s team has been behind me every step of the way. Policies are being formulated, programs are being set up and the BENNIES are being worked out. After all, mother Earth can’t be the only beneficiary to this brainchild - our members have to benefit too! I am aiming for a December 1st official launch where we will be fully equipped to accept memberships and start handing out the benefits to everyone. Anyone who knows me knows not to be shocked if it happens sooner. 
Friends, this is going to be amazing!! If you have EVER in one moment in your life wanted to help save the earth (our only home) and have EVER felt even the teeniest bit helpless like you couldn’t make a difference (me too), this new organization is specifically for you. We want to make the adoption of green principles EASY and the results QUANTIFIABLE.
